At Holly Springs Pediatrics, the health of your child always comes first. For this reason, we feel that well visits are extremely important. For us, well visits are more than a medical evaluation. During a well visit, patients and their families have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the doctor to discuss any changes in the patients health, personal life, family life, and more. This time is valuable because it allows us to not only evaluate the physical health of your child, but also learn more about their emotional health.

Schedule of Well Visits

Here at Holly Springs Pediatrics, we follow the schedule of well visits as outlined by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Below you can find this schedule for well visits. We cannot stress enough the importance of regular well visits and encourage our families to follow the schedule to the best of their abilities.

• Newborn
• 2 Weeks
• 1 Month
• 2 Months
• 4 Months
• 6 Months
• 9 Months
• 12 Months
• 15 Months
• 18 Months
• 2 Years
• 30 Months
• 3 Years
• Every year thereafter

After the age of 3, we encourage patients to visit our office annually for a well visit near the time of their birthday.

What to Expect During a Well Visit

Depending upon the age of your child, what takes place during a well visit will vary. Some appointments will include required vaccinations, while others service to evaluate the growth and development of the child. For more information on the schedule of vaccinations, we invite you to contact our office. Although the appointments will vary, each appointment will be with the doctor and will provide an opportunity for you to ask questions or address any concerns you may have in regards to your child.
